Service Description

The Shotokan Karate-do International Federation (SKIF) Trinidad and Tobago has been significant part of our country’s traditional karate landscape since 1989. At SKIF KG TT we teach traditional Shōtōkan Karate Dō as taught at the SKIF Japan. We continue to honor the teaching of Soke Kanazawa by passing on his philosophy to our members. We follow a comprehensive syllabus that is based on SKIF technical structure. We allow everyone, regardless of sex, age and ability to make progress in our Organization. We maintain ties with the head of the SKIF Pan American and Caribbean region, Hanshi Hiroshi Ishikawa and Japan Headquarters so we can provide the opportunity for our members to receive quality instruction directly from SKIF top Masters. All our Black Gradings are done by top SKIF masters and all our black belts grades are registered with SKIF Japan. As SKIF member we are part of an international "Karate Family". Hence the "F" in "SKIF" which not only means "Federation" but also "Family". All our members have the opportunity to compete in SKIF National, Regional and International tournament and seminars.
